No experience is necessary; we'll train you! The ideal candidate will create beautiful floral arrangements, handle customer orders and inquiries, and ensure the quality and freshness of all floral products. This position is suitable for someone who is detail-oriented and passionate about flowers and plants.
Duties and Responsibilities

Greeting customers and providing knowledgeable advice on fresh/artificial arrangements based on your assessment of their needs.

Operating cash register machine to process sale transactions.

Scheduling order and delivery for custom orders, such as floral or table arrangements and transferring corporate orders to management.

Designing and creating beautiful fresh and artificial floral arrangements for customers.

Monitoring the quality and freshness of all floral products.

Maintaining a clean and organized customer experience in and outside the Garden Centre by organizing the display of floral merchandise, creating an attractive visual presentation for products, and ensuring products are properly labelled.

Working with your colleagues to ensure you are kept up to date on all promotions and sales.
- Performing other tasks as requested by the Garden Centre Manager on duty.
Qualifications

Horticultural knowledge (understanding of plant varieties/species, insect control, etc.) and/or nursery experience considered a significant asset.

Previous experience as a Florist or in a related field is a plus.

Customer service experience is also considered a significant asset.

Strong work ethic with ability to work well independently and with others.
- Having a valid driver’s license is also considered a significant asset.
